Shown here is an amethyst druse and individual crystal points from the Four Peaks, Arizona, amethyst deposit. The large crystals are often covered with layers of hematite and secondary growths of microscopic quartz crystals. The best way to obtain a specimen from this mine is to attend one of the annual mineral shows held at Tucson, Arizona.
