Moss Mine Tourmaline Crystals and Faceted Gemstone

Origin: The Malkhany Region, Buryat Republic, CIR (Siberia)

Tourmaline crystals from one of the Moss Mine gem pockets. This particular pegmatite primarily produces crystals of light pink to deep red color. As is the case for many pegmatites, only 5 to 10 percent of the material is suitable for faceting.
